Women's College Hospital
The Division of Rheumatology provides general rheumatology clinical care to women and men with chronic inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases, osteoarthritis, regional musculoskeletal conditions and other general rheumatologic problems. Some physicians also work in the osteoporosis program which is designed to offer individualized treatment programs to women and men living with complex chronic illness and for those at risk for osteoporosis.
Clinics
- The Rheumatology Program clinics care for all rheumatic conditions including Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Connective Tissue Disease, Musculoskeletal Regional Disorders. A multidisciplinary team, including an advanced practice physiotherapist, provides additional specialized assessment and educational services. Physician referral required.
- The Centre for Bone Health & Osteoporosis provides excellence in the diagnosis, education, and management of osteoporosis. This program is for women and men with osteoporosis who want to slow down the progression of the disease, and for women who want to reduce their chances of developing it. Physician referral required.
- The Psoriatic Arthritis Clinic at Women’s College Hospital is Canada’s first Rapid Access Clinic for individuals with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, offering a one-of-a-kind self-referral system for patients to get timely access to medical care. The clinic provides multidisciplinary care for patients who are suspected of having the disease or have a diagnosis of psoriatic arthritis.
