Women's College Hospital offers volunteer positions to eligible high-school and undergraduate university students during the summer. Volunteer positions are available (Monday through Friday daytime hours only) in many areas, including
- gift shop
- information desk
- patient waiting rooms
- used-book sales group
- medical imaging
- archives
- dermatology
- family practice
- surgery
- osteoporosis
- medical library
Eligibility :
In order to qualify to be a student volunteer, you must:
- be 14 years of age, or older
- have completed Grade 9
- provide two (2) references
- have a tuberculosis skin test (two-step)
- submit a completed medical form
- attend an information session
Requirements :
Student volunteers are required to:
- Commit to the full month of either July or August. You must be available for the entire session.
- Applicants available for both full months will be given priority.
- Work 3 half-day shifts (either 3 half-days or 1 ½ full days) per week.
- Pay a refundable $10.00 deposit on your security badge (You'll be provided with a T-shirt uniform.)
To apply:
Join us for an information session on either Monday May 31 at 5 p.m. or Wednesday June 2 at 5 p.m.
The information sessions are held in the Cummings Auditorium (room E139 on the first floor).
Applications will be distributed at these sessions and you MUST attend a session to apply.
Registration for these sessions in NOT required.
