On May 27, David Balfour Park was the place to be for Women’s College Hospital’s (WCH) 3rd Annual Walk for Women’s event.
The fundraising event, organized by our Association of Volunteers, encouraged WCH staff and community to put on their running shoes and walk, wheel, skip and/or run to raise funds for women’s health. This year, the walk was a resounding success with over 200 pledges and over $7,000 raised.
Marilyn Emery, president and CEO, WCH and Darleen Bogart, president, WCH Association of Volunteers and WCH board member were joined by over 40 staff, volunteers, family and friends.
“Congratulations to the Association of Volunteers for another successful fundraising walk and a particular thank you to our WCH staff for their participation and support,” said Angela Robertson, director, equity and community engagement.
It was a special opportunity to build a strong community, while helping the Association of Volunteers to meet their $1-million pledge to the Capital Campaign for Women’s College.
The Association of Volunteers thanks everyone who helped make this year’s Walk for Women’s a fun-filled and successful event!
