On Wednesday, November 18, 2015, Women’s College Hospital will host World COPD Day, and offer free spirometry testing for everyone to help raise awareness of the risk factors of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

COPD is a lung disease that blocks the airways, making it difficult to breathe. Spiromentry is an effective, non-invasive and simple test used to help diagnose asthma and other lung conditions. It takes only a few minutes but can make a big difference in long-term health and well-being.

WHAT: Free spirometry testing during World COPD Day. Spirometry testing requires a person to inhale deeply and blow into a specialized device as hard as they can to measure lung function. Results of the test can help identify signs of COPD, letting participants know if they are at risk.
WHEN: Wednesday, November 18, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. - 4 p.m.
WHERE: Women’s College Hospital
