Information for patients looking for a family doctor:

The Family Practice Health Centre is currently accepting a limited number of new patients, mainly to our Family Medicine Resident Practices which change physicians every two years. If you are interested in becoming a patient in a resident practice or learning more, please contact Tania Denmark from Patient Intake at 416-323-6400 at 4486.

We are always accepting new prenatal patients. Please see Family Way Obstetrics.


  • Health Care Connect
    If you are looking for a family doctor, you can register for the Health Care Connectopens in a new window program by calling 1-800-445-1822 between Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • College of Physicans and Surgeons of Ontario
    If you would like to search for a family doctor or specialist anywhere in Ontario, you may also use the Doctor Search feature on the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario's website. Here you can search for a doctor by name, gender, area of specialty and hospital affiliation.

    Alternatively, you may contact the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontarioopens in a new window for help in finding a physician who is taking new patients in your community.

  • Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care
    The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care has a website called Your Health Care Options where you can explore the different health-care choices available to you in your community.
  • The Health Care Options Medical Services Directory, recommended by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, is a searchable database of walk-in and after hours clinics, urgent care centres, family health-care providers, general practitioners and emergency rooms. By entering your postal code you can find out the hours and services available in your community.
