There is a higher number of under-screened people in this part of Toronto compared to the rest of Ontario. This is due to barriers to screening that many people face. That is why CARES works in the community, partnering with organizations which serve women who use shelters, newcomers to Canada, and people who have experienced discrimination when accessing health care services.
