The Urgent Care Centre (UCC) provides patients with access to prompt medical attention for urgent ambulatory care problems. Ambulatory care generally refers to conditions that can be dealt with on an outpatient basis. With on-site laboratory and diagnostic imaging, the UCC can offer quick diagnostic services for patients and families dealing with illness, injuries or conditions such as:
The UCC offers patients an alternative to potentially long waits in the emergency department.
Referral
No referral is required.
(Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence Care Centre patients have 24/7 access to the sexual assault service through the UCC entrance.)
