Athletes@Risk Program

Athletes@Risk® is a licensed preventive education program developed by Dr. Julia Alleyne, a medical director for Sport CARE, clinical professor of medicine at the University of Toronto and a Team Canada physician for the Winter 2010 and Summer 2008 Olympics. The program has been designed for female athletes who are at risk for developing the female athlete triad; three inter-related medical conditions of disordered eating, amenorrhea and osteoporosis.

Athletes@Risk® educates female athletes about:

  • health consequences of the triad
  • healthy eating habits
  • positive self-esteem and body image
  • safe training practices
  • stress management

Referral
Physician’s referral is required.
