Surgery

Women's College Hospital is at the leading edge of discovery and practice when it comes to ambulatory surgery.

The surgical programs provide comprehensive surgical care specializing in ambulatory surgery focused on:

  • general surgery (specializing in cancers in women including breast and thyroid cancer)
  • plastic surgery (e.g. breast reconstruction)
  • gynecology
  • orthopedic surgery (with a focus on sports injuries)
  • urology (male infertility)


Screening and therapeutic endoscopic procedures are provided for patients with gastrointestinal and respirology conditions.

The surgical care program is also partnered with Cancer Care Ontario’s ColonCancerCheck program to provide screening colonoscopies.
