Women's College Hospital offers the following programs for women:
The diabetes and pregnancy team provides pre-pregnancy, pregnancy and postpartum counselling for women with Type 1, Type 2 and gestational diabetes. We also provide weekly assessment and education sessions for individuals newly diagnosed with gestational diabetes.
This is a one day education and lifestyle management class for women living with polycystic ovary syndrome. Topics covered in this interactive class include ‘what is PCOS’, healthy eating, physical activity, cosmetic issues, and the prevention of potential complications of PCOS including Type 2 diabetes. Please note that this program is suitable for women who do not have Type 2 diabetes.
This is a six week group educational program that teaches women who are between 45 to 59 years of age how to manage their diabetes and take charge of their health. Topics covered include:
