This specialized Women’s Mental Health Program provides assessment and short-term treatment for women experiencing anxiety and mood-related difficulties during reproductive life stages (such as menstrual cycle, pregnancy, postpartum and the menopausal transition).
Women can experience anxiety at each reproductive stage. The Reproductive Life Stages Program offers a combination of education, brief psychotherapy and medication, along with a multidisciplinary team approach, to assess and treat women and their partners. The care provided relates to mood and anxiety difficulties linked to pre-menstrual syndrome and pregnancy; postpartum depression, anxiety and psychosis; and peri-menopausal and post-menopausal psychological difficulties.
