Construction updates
- Throughout May the steel structures on level ten of the new hospital will be completed.
- In early June, there will be a “Topping Off” celebration, a tradition on building sites, signifying that the highest point of a building has been reached. More information will follow closer to the date.
- The building exterior continues to be installed on the east and north sides of the site and will be moving to the west and south sides of the site soon.
- The installation of the building’s service elevators will begin.
- The installation of water, heating, ventilation and cooling piping and ductwork will continue throughout the building interior and along with the interior walls up to level seven.
- Major pieces of equipment will be hoisted into place on:
May 21 – from Grenville Street
May 28 – from Grenville Street
Please be aware that there will be large trucks and increased traffic congestion during this time. Off duty officers will manage vehicle and pedestrian traffic to ensure everyone’s safety.
