Mother Matters

Service updates for appointments at WCH

  • If you have an upcoming in person appointment at Women’s College Hospital and you have a fever, cough, or new onset of shortness of breath, have travelled outside Canada in the last 14 days, tested positive for COVID-19, or been instructed to self-isolate by Public Health please do not come to the hospital, call the clinic directly for more information.
  • The hospital is open only to patients with appointments, please see our visitor restrictions information.
  • Your appointment may be changed to a virtual visit using the telephone or over video. Learn how to set-up a video visit.
  • You will receive a call from us with any changes to your appointment.

Are you a mother with a new baby and finding it hard to cope with how your life has changed?

Do you feel isolated and alone? Are you struggling with feelings of sadness?
Do you find it hard to control your worries?
Are you struggling with how having a baby has changed your self-identity, your sexuality or your relationships?

Consider joining MOTHER MATTERS our online support group for women with mood/adjustment challenges following the birth of their baby.

MOTHER MATTERS is an 8-week online support group run by the Mental Health Program at Women’s College Hospital. It will take place on a confidential discussion board, giving you the opportunity to share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, while learning from and supporting other mothers. Each week a new topic will be explored, relating to issues that commonly emerge during the first year of life with a new baby.

Registration for MOTHER MATTERS support group is CLOSED.

Registration will beopening up again at the end of June for summer groups. Please check back then.
