Women’s College Hospital (WCH) is proud to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO) designation. Over the past decade, the BPSO initiative has significantly enhanced patient care through the implementation of evidence-based practices. This milestone reflects the hospital’s unwavering commitment to excellence in healthcare and continuous quality improvement.
Since becoming a BPSO, WCH has successfully integrated nine Best Practice Guidelines (BPGs), leading to improved patient outcomes and staff satisfaction. 111 staff members have become Best Practice Champions, driving the adoption of these guidelines. Additionally, over the last three years, the hospital has run a Best Practice Guideline Quality Improvement Program, building hospital’s QI capacity and coaching staff on using BPGs to enhance patient health outcomes, patient experience, workforce experience, resource utilization, and support equity and accessibility.
The anniversary celebration included an atrium booth where attendees wrote messages to future BPG Champions. These heartfelt messages will be sealed in a time capsule, to be opened in another 10 years. Join us in celebrating this remarkable journey and looking forward to many more years of advancing healthcare excellence at WCH.
