Members of our Crossroads Clinic attended the Pre-World Refugee Day Community Celebration, hosted by Hope for Refugees International and its partners on June 18. The theme of this year’s celebration, “Together We Thrive: Building Solidarity and Celebrating Refugee Resilience, Culture, and Community” is both timely and urgent as the world sees record levels of displacement and refugees face growing systemic barriers.
Our Crossroads Clinic was among the inaugural recipients of the Ubuntu awards, created to recognize organizations that embody the African philosophy of Ubuntu: “I am because we are.” They were honoured with the Ubuntu Afya na Heshima (Health and Dignity) Award for their work in advancing refugee health equity and building communities of care and inclusion.
Congratulations to our Crossroads Clinic!
