WCH had a great Falls Prevention month this year! Members from the Falls Council Committee hosted seven booths at 76 and 77 Grenville over the month to educate staff about their roles in falls prevention.
Thanks to everyone who visited the booths and engaged in discussions on:
- Staff’s individual roles in falls prevention
- How to document patients’ falls risks in their records
- Ways to help prevent or mitigate falls
- Safety tips for staff working onsite and virtually to help keep patients and staff safe, and
- Resources for clinicians and patients on falls prevention
We also had three lucky winners who participated in contests at the booths who won $25 gift certificates from Shopper’s Drug Mart, Indigo and SportChek! Congratulations to our winners:
