Happy Retirement, Mary Anne Howse!

Mary Anne Howse, Women’s College Hospital’s (WCH) long-time Manager of Library Services is entering a new chapter in her life as she heads into retirement at the end of the year after 20 incredible years at the hospital.

During her time at WCH, Mary Anne managed the hospital’s eLearning system, registered students and learners, and worked with many departments across the organization.

“Mary Anne has connected with many staff, physicians, learners, volunteers, security and facilities in her multiple roles,” said Theresa Kay, Director, Education. “We will miss her quiet commitment to getting things done, her organization, and her passion for continuous learning.”

Mary Anne is looking forward to having time to spend on craft projects, reading for pleasure (instead of work!) and exploring the opportunities retirement will bring. While her last official day at WCH is December 30, 2022, Mary Anne has agreed to stay a little longer into 2023 to support the library and student registration while the hospital recruits someone into the position, so you may still see her in the new year. If you’d like to wish Mary Anne well in her retirement, you can stop by the library on Monday, December 19 or Tuesday, December 20 when she’s onsite, or send her an email at maryanne.howse@wchospital.ca.

Thank you, Mary Anne, for all you have done, and best of luck in your retirement!
