As the referral point for some of the most complex gynecologic and chronic pain patients in the country, I recognize that many of the individuals I care for have faced long, often frustrating journeys through the healthcare system. My goal is to offer not just advanced surgical and medical expertise as a urogynecologist and neuropelveologist, but also validation, hope, and a path forward. I strive to create a space where patients feel seen, heard, and understood—where their pain is taken seriously and their care is deeply personalized. For many, simply knowing that their condition has a name and that there are evidence-based treatment options available can be transformational. Helping patients reclaim their quality of life is at the heart of everything I do.
4. Tell us one to three things that your colleagues would be surprised to learn about you.
I was deeply influenced by my mother, who is also a gynecologist and a pioneer in endoscopic surgery. Watching her dedication to her patients and her commitment to innovation in women’s health inspired me from a very young age. I saw firsthand how medicine could be both deeply human and highly technical, and that combination sparked a lifelong passion. Her example showed me that being a doctor means more than treating illness—it means making a real difference in people’s lives through compassion, precision, and persistence.
