The University of Toronto has appointed Janice Du Mont, EdD, to one of three new expert panels on sexual violence.

Du Mont, a scientist at WCRI, is one of five experts appointed to the Sexual Violence Climate Survey Advisory Board. The board is advising on a survey of the sexual violence climate on campus, including how students, staff and faculty use support services.

The other two panels are improving education and prevention, and also developing a policy on sexual violence in accordance with Ontario’s new action plan on sexual violence.

“Campuses should be safe places to learn. The establishment of these panels is an important step in preventing sexual assault on campus and improving our response,” Du Mont said.
