The WCH Institute for Health System Solutions and Virtual Care (WIHV) gets a new look

April 10, 2017

By Jennifer Lee

The WCH Institute for Health System Solutions and Virtual Care (WIHV) recently launched a new website featuring the cutting edge work they are doing to make healthcare more accessible, effective and affordable across the system.

The site profiles a new video from Leo Burnett Toronto, that looks at the unique approach the group is taking to get to the root causes of inefficiencies in the system and find new ways to connect patients to care.

Whether it’s the fact that less than fifty per cent of patients can see their doctor within 48 hours after calling, or that $2 out of every $3 healthcare dollars are used to treat chronic conditions, WIHV starts with some of the biggest challenges inside healthcare and works with innovators to test and evaluate new ideas.

From Choosing Wisely Canada, to the Big White Wall and the Seamless Care Optimizing the Patient Experience (SCOPE) – WIHV has a series of projects on the go that evaluate and test new approaches to care, with a view to understanding their potential to revolutionize it. The site also features a range of services they offer to small to medium sized businesses, government and health sector leaders and researchers.

For the latest on what WIHV is up to, follow their innovation fellows and leadership in the news, on local and national networks and @wchwihv on Twitter.
