Annual appreciation lunch hits high note with staff

September 22, 2014

More than 700 Women’s College Hospital (WCH) staff, physicians and volunteers attended the annual appreciation lunch earlier this month, an event which recognizes the hard work and efforts of all those who work and volunteer at WCH.

“We are so grateful for the commitment and dedication that Women’s College Hospital employees, physicians and volunteers demonstrate on a daily basis,” said Marilyn Emery, president and CEO of WCH. “This is our way of saying thank you for all that you do.”

Attendees enjoyed a delicious lunch outdoors, provided by Per Se Catering and Caplansky’s Delicatessen. Staff, physicians and volunteers mingled and enjoyed the beautiful weather while feasting on a variety of tacos, sandwiches and desserts.

“I enjoyed chatting with other staff and sharing a good meal together,” said Aiann Oishi, producer, digital communications at WCH. “It’s nice to know the hospital appreciates everyone’s hard work.”

The Women’s College Hospital Foundation team was also present and distributed sweets and treats to all those who attended.

“The Foundation was thrilled to participate in this year’s appreciation lunch. We work together each and every day and know that the support of our colleagues is the cornerstone of Women’s College Hospital’s continued success,” said Fiona Bedlington, community giving officer at the Women’s College Hospital Foundation. “Let’s continue to take moments to celebrate together and enjoy some ‘sweets and treats’ along the way!”
