Looking back on a month of making your days harder and healthier

June 30, 2015

Lately, it’s been easy to make your day harder at Women’s College Hospital (WCH).

During this past month, as part of Dr. Mike Evans’ #MakeYourDayHarder campaign, the hospital encouraged all staff, physicians, volunteers and friends to make small everyday adjustments, to increase physical activity and break out of sedentary behaviours. Many members of the WCH community have been up to the challenge – and shown that they can be more active at work and on social media.

“It’s fantastic to see how enthusiastic and encouraging everyone at WCH has been,” said Michelle Hogan, manager, occupational health. “This past month at the hospital has been more than about making your day harder – but also about finding ways to have fun while being active.”

In fact, many departments and programs formed organized group walks around the neighbourhood. Recently, the WCH occupational health team invited all staff, physicians and volunteers to join them on lunch time walks.

In addition to getting moving at work and home, WCH staff, physicians and volunteers have been active on social media. Many shared photos and posted comments on how they’ve made their days harder .

Thank you to everyone at WCH for sharing your photos, promoting the campaign and making your day(s) harder!
