New partnership provides a fresh look

Patricia Nicholson and Jenny CheadleWomen’s Health Matters revealed a new look this month – along with an exciting new partnership. Shoppers Drug Mart has become a premier sponsor of Women’s College Hospital’s consumer health website, dedicated to providing women with the latest in women’s health information.

“Women’s Health Matters continues to be a credible and reliable online resource for women and their families,” says Margaret Goldby, director of digital marketing at Women’s College Hospital. “With the support of Shoppers Drug Mart, we have the opportunity to expand the content and functionality of our website and reach a greater number of women.”

Women’s Health Matters is part of Shoppers Drug Mart’s new WOMEN partnership program – an initiative designed to improve the health of Canadian women by connecting them with leading experts and institutions in women’s health.

Women’s College Hospital recently participated in Shoppers Drug Mart’s national sales conference for the launch of WOMEN, to show our commitment and support for providing in-depth content on health matters affecting women.

“Now that Shoppers Drug Mart is featuring the WOMEN program in-store, it gives Women’s Health Matters a physical presence across Canada,” explains Goldby. “A pharmacist can recommend our website to any woman who is looking for current information on specific women’s health issues.”

The redesigned Women’s Health Matters site plans to feature the following tools and resources in upcoming months:

  • an online mental health program, focusing on issues unique to women
  • interactive content, including discussion groups and personal stories
  • an enhanced library of resources

Launched in 2000 – with over four million visits per year – Women’s Health Matters is nationally recognized as a leading online resource for women’s health information.
