Women’s College Hospital staff member presented with Career Impact award

September 30, 2013

Arlene SilversteinArlene Silverstein, project manager, Ontario Osteoporosis Strategy at Women’s College Hospital, never imagined how much digital health would shape her career path.  This month, Silverstein received a professional development award for sharing her story on digital health in the Canada Health Infoway’s ImagineNation Career Impact Challenge.

“Our team helps deliver care virtually to patients from remote and underserviced communities in Ontario,” said Silverstein. “I originally chose a career in healthcare so I could help people. Today, I am still helping patients, but in a more innovative way, thanks to digital health.”

Since 2011, Canada Health Infoway’s ImagineNation Challenges have asked Canadians to share ideas, passions and solutions for health and healthcare. The Impact Challenge was launched to share stories about the influence of digital health on patients, careers and businesses.
