www.womenscollegehospital.ca: now available in more than 90 languages

April  20, 2015

Women’s College Hospital (WCH) website The Women’s College Hospital (WCH) website was recently updated with several new features that will make the site easier to navigate for patients, staff, researchers and physicians.

One exciting new feature is the addition of the Google Translate tool, located in the upper right corner of the site, which allows content to be viewed in more than 90 languages. It’s an amazing piece of technology that allows WCH to better serve the hospital’s very diverse patient population.

Other features include:

  • The updated patients & caregivers menu offers information to help patients and their caregivers plan their visit, stay safe and access the many services the hospital offers.
  • The updated programs & clinics menu provides a list of frequently visited pages and lists approximately 60 WCH programs and clinics, alphabetically.
  • The education & training menu retrieves information about the many WCH departments and divisions that are affiliated with the University of Toronto. The menu also lists resources that are relevant to trainees and health professionals.
  • The community menu supports community engagement by providing information about upcoming events and WCH health equity initiatives.

“Our focus is always to make information more accessible to as broad a group of people as we can,” said Craig Thompson, director of digital communications. “As people turn more to their digital devices as the first point of contact with WCH, we need to make sure we’re able to meet them there with the right information at the right time.”

Please take some time to visit the website and check out the new features.
