Mental Health in Medicine

The Mental Health in Medicine Program is a specialized mental health service that provides assessment and time-limited treatment to clients with mental health concerns that are secondary to or complicated by a concurrent medical illness.  This does not include specialized services in eating disorders.

We are a multidisciplinary team of psychiatry, nursing, social work and occupational therapy that provide:

  • Psychiatric assessment
  • Pharmacotherapy
  • Individual time-limited psychotherapy
  • Access to groups

A referral is required from a physician and must include the client’s family doctor’s information.

We currently accept only Women's College Hospital internal referrals for the services listed above.

We are not a crisis service
