One of Women’s College Hospital’s (WCH) beloved charge nurses is heading off into retirement!
Dennise Forde, Charge Nurse, Operating Room, wrapped up 40 years at WCH in style with a retirement party with her colleagues last week to celebrate a career that has left quite an impression. Having cared for thousands of patients at the hospital from the nursery to medical and surgical floors, and spending the last 25 years in the operating room, Dennise leaves behind a legacy of care that won’t be forgotten.
“Dennise takes with her the most caring of hands any nurse can have, but leaves behind their imprint in all of us,” says Johana Amar, Clinical Manager, Surgical Services. “She will be greatly missed by all of us and our patients!”
Her colleagues have nothing but kind things to say about Dennise, describing her as dedicated, energetic, intelligent, sweet and effervescent with an excellent work ethic. Others have called her the kindest nurse ever and have said she is very resilient.
Congratulations on your retirement Dennise!
